The Bryce Jordan Center is seeking an Assistant to the Food and Beverage Director - Concessions. The Bryce Jordan Center is a 16,000 seat arena which hosts touring acts, Penn State Men's and Women's Basketball, as well as various miscellaneous events including THON, a two day Dance Marathon that takes place every February at The Bryce Jordan Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Food and Beverage Director which includes planning of food preparation, maintaining inventories, and managing the execution of concession functions at the Bryce Jordan Center. Additional responsibilities include developing labor reports, managing and reviewing costs, profits, and loss, planning special events and overseeing the care and maintenance of equipment. This job will supervise, schedule and train assigned staff, as well as assist in meeting the training needs of staff.
Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus one year of work-related experience. A strong commitment to customer service is also required.

Professional Sports Catering, LLC is a food service company specializing in concessions and catering operations at minor league baseball stadiums across the country. With an expanding client list and a proven business plan, we are looking for the best food service professionals in the industry to join us! The opportunities currently available require relocation to another domestic market still to be determined, as well as temporary relocation to our Montgomery, AL location for training.
The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for the overall food service operation at a specific minor league baseball location, including all concessions and catering venues. Responsibilities of this position include managing capital investments in food service equipment, developing exciting new menus for the concessions venues that incorporate ballpark classics with local favorites, establishing and meeting department budgets, monitoring food and labor cost on a daily basis, establishing vendor relationships, ordering and receiving food and beverage products, maintaining proper inventory levels, and insuring the cleanliness of all food venues. The Director of Food & Beverage must possess strong management qualities, as this position directs at least 2 full-time food service managers in concessions and catering, in addition to overseeing and leading 150+ hourly employees and non-profit groups.
Qualifications: Experience managing food service operation a must, experience in a sports or stadium venue a major plus; 5+ years experience in the food service industry; Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; Creative culinary and strong financial management skills; Ability to relocate a must.
