A new educational member benefit is being offered to certification graduates, the Executive Concession Manager (ECM) program. The ECM program is only available to concession manager certification graduates (CCMs) and will be taught by NAC Director of Education Shelley Feldman.
The inaugural ECM course is being offered on December 12-13, 1999 at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, CA. Located near Monterey, two hours south of San Francisco, the conference center has full-service accommodations. The all-inclusive registration fee of $599 includes the ECM program and all materials, sleeping accommodations for two nights and three meals a day. The topics that will be covered in the course include:
I. Everything You Need to Know about Request for Proposals (RFPs)what to incorporate when writing a bid; the mechanics of bidding and analyzing an RFP. Coursework will include analyzing an actual RFP as well as making a bid.
II. Case Studya team project that will determine problems within a company and corrective actions to be taken.

IV. Professional Tips on Negotiating
"The course is a hands-on program for management and executive level CCMs," says Feldman. "It will be very interaction-intensive."
