Educational SessionsNAC Convention educational programs will offer quality information you can take back to your concessions operation. The cross-pollination of ideas shared among operators of many types of venues, along with their suppliers, can fuel new ideas for your business. NAC's highly-regarded Concession Manager Certification Program will also be offered prior to the start of the Annual Convention. The certification program is a separate registration and fee from the convention educational sessions. What's On the Menu? NAC educational sessions at the 2012 Annual Convention will encompass all aspects of recreation and leisure-time foodservice operations - a full menu, so to speak. Sessions will include large group presentations with interactive elements, panel discussions by industry leaders, and small group free-form discussions on issues specific to concession operations. Convention attendees come from all types of operations - small facilities, large in-house operations and major foodservice contractors. In that diversity is a wealth of knowledge that is specific to food and beverage concessions. Whatever the format, nowhere else can you find the breadth and depth of information that directly relates to food and beverage operations, all in one location. Along with the stellar presenters at the sessions, the sharing of ideas among other operators and suppliers can provide you with ideas on increasing profits and controlling costs. Information on the educational sessions for the 2012 Convention in Tampa will be forthcoming. For your information, below are listed the sessions held at the 2011 Convention in Anaheim. 2011 Convention Education Sessions Wednesday, July 13
Don't worry. You are not alone. Life is getting busier and more demanding for everyone these days. In fact, the #1 business lifestyle complaint in the world today is having “too much to do with too little time.” And those time-management books aren't much help because they just give you ways to juggle all the work causing the stress. They don't say much about how to actually reduce the stress itself. What would you give to feel relaxed and light-hearted as you face the challenge of this taxing atmosphere where the pressure never stops increasing? Get ready to smile, because Juliet Funt is about to take you on a fast-paced, story packed, hilarious ride to right where the answers lie. Enjoy stories of how real people have rediscovered the excitement of tackling the challenges of work and savoring those precious moments with family and friends. Laugh at the absurdities of the business world and how it drives some people bonkers. Learn the simple but powerful strategies that enable you to manage your in-box, juggle a dozen projects, and shift your point of view from panic to acceptance and from acceptance to fulfillment. If your CFO isn't convinced, remind him that American companies spend $150 billion every year just on stress-related disability. That's not counting the wasted time from tension, the lost productivity from low morale, and the costs of higher employee turnover. Juliet will help you change the way you think about your goals so you can prioritize the smart way, be more productive, and clarify what's really important. You'll discover...
